Saltamontes - grasshopper - is a sign of hope and connection, as embodied by our brand.
Saltamontes was inspired by the artistic and aesthetic interests of its founder Daniela Macias, and her admiration of Japanese culture.
ABOUT DEBAJO DEL SOMBRERO ASSOCIATION
DEBAJO DEL SOMBRERO is a platform for creation, investigation, production and dissemination of art by people with learning disabilities.
The designs of our Furoshikis are printed artworks by the talented artists of the Association. Many of them are currently being represented by well-known art galleries worldwide and have exhibited their work at various independent and collective art shows.
Most of these artists create Art Brut expressing their purest and deepest feelings. These raw emotions surpass the canvas and become alive on our Furoshikis. By wearing them, you help us to promote the Association and its unique artists.
The curated artworks are printed in Silk. Each Furoshiki comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity (ed. of 20)
